How can I fix the error: Oops: Unable to download: Can't connect to download.configserver:443?

Overview

The error message "Oops: Unable to download: Can't connect to download.configserver:443" occurs when Juggernaut Firewall attempts to automatically update the ConfigServer Security & Firewall (CSF) script. This issue was caused by the retirement of the original CSF author, which resulted in the shutdown of the official download.configserver services.

CSF has since been open-sourced and is now hosted and maintained directly to ensure continued compatibility with Juggernaut Firewall. This issue has been permanently resolved in Juggernaut Firewall version 5.01.

Resolution

To resolve this error, upgrade your installation to Juggernaut Firewall 5.01 or later by following the official upgrade procedure:

  1. Navigate to the extension management interface.
  2. Select the option to update or upgrade the firewall module.
  3. Follow the step-by-step instructions provided in the Installation and Upgrade Guide.

Troubleshooting

If the error persists after upgrading to version 5.01 or later:

  • Verify that your Juggernaut Firewall installation is running version 5.01 or newer.
  • Clear any cached configuration files and restart the firewall service.
  • Contact support if the issue remains unresolved, providing relevant log entries for further analysis.
