Overview
The Juggernaut Firewall automatically rotates permanently denied IP addresses to maintain optimal performance and database size. Addresses explicitly marked with the "do not delete" flag are exempt from this automatic rotation process.
Raising the Permanent Deny Limit
- Navigate to Juggernaut Firewall -> Settings -> Firewall -> General Settings -> Deny Permanently limit.
- Increase the value to your desired threshold. Note: It is not recommended to set this value above 10,000.
- Click Update to save the configuration changes.
- Click Restart to restart the firewall and login failure daemon.
Marking an IP Address as "Do Not Delete"
To prevent a specific IP address from being automatically removed during rotation, apply the retention flag when adding it to the deny list:
- Add the target IP address to the permanent deny configuration.
- Select the "do not delete" checkbox before saving the entry.
