Overview
The Policy Migrator tool enables administrators to transfer existing SpamAssassin configurations, including blacklists and whitelists, from Plesk into Warden. This process ensures consistent email filtering policies during platform transitions.
Prerequisites
- Administrative access to the Warden management interface.
- An active Plesk environment containing existing spam filter configurations.
Migrating Spam Filter Settings from Plesk to Warden
Navigate to Warden -> Settings -> Policy Migrator to access the migration interface.
- Select the user accounts for which you want to migrate spam filter policies.
- In the data source selection menu, choose Plesk.
- Click the Export button. This generates an XML file containing the existing policies, blacklists, and whitelists. Save this file to your local machine.
- In the Policy Import section, click the Browse button.
- Select the previously exported XML file to complete the import process into Warden.
Troubleshooting
- Policies not applying after import: Verify that the selected users in step one match the accounts referenced in the exported XML file.
- Import fails or shows errors: Ensure the XML file was saved correctly and has not been modified externally. Re-export from Plesk if necessary.
- Missing blacklists/whitelists: Confirm that the original Plesk configurations were properly assigned to the selected users prior to export.
