We are pleased to announce the release of Warden Anti-spam and Virus Protection 4.04 under General Availability. This release adds Ubuntu 24.04 support. Ubuntu 24 comes with SpamAssassin 4.0 packages. All users are encouraged to upgrade. This release has passed Plesk certification and is now available in the Plesk extension directory.

Banned File Management
We've added the ability to manage banned file attachments at the policy level. The administrator can add banned rules under Settings -> Content Filter Settings -> Scanner Settings then you can add them under the policy at the server, domain, or mailbox level. See here for more information.

Shortcircuit Plugin Support
We've added support for the Shortcircuit plugin. This plugin can stop evaluation early if high-accuracy rules fire in order to reduce CPU load. See here for more information.

To Upgrade
The upgrade is available to all active license holders.

1. Login to your Plesk panel and click on Extensions -> Updates -> Select the Warden Anti-spam and Virus Protection extension then press the update button. You can view the upgrade process using the command: tail -f /var/log/plesk/panel.log
