We are pleased to announce the release of Warden Anti-spam and Virus Protection 5.04 under General Availability. All users are encouraged to upgrade. See the important notes below as manual action is required after upgrading to Plesk 18.0.73.

[+] Added a nightly task to check if Plesk has been auto-updated to Plesk 18.0.73 with dovecot 2.4. If Plesk was updated then Warden will update its own dovecot 2.4 configuration automatically.
[-] Fixed a type error when selecting 'All' from the select list on the queue page.
How To Install or Upgrade
Administrators can install or upgrade the extension using our new product updater under Warden -> Settings -> Panel Application -> Application update or from the command line using the command below:
plesk bin extension --install-url https://www.danami.com/clients/downloads/warden.zipYou can view the upgrade process using the command: tail -f /var/log/plesk/panel.log
Important - Manual Action Required
After upgrading to Plesk 18.0.73 administrators must run the command below to upgrade their Warden dovecot configuration to be compatible with the new dovecot 2.4 (otherwise dovecot will not start after the Plesk upgrade):
warden --task=antispam:learning:sieve --rebuild=yes --restart=yesExplaining the Plesk 18.0.73 Upgrade Process
- Make sure that you have Warden 5.04 installed.
- Upgrade Plesk to Plesk 18.0.73.
- Run the command: warden --task=antispam:learning:sieve --rebuild=yes --restart=yes It will detect that Plesk 18.0.73 is now installed and rebuild the Warden configuration for dovecot 2.4 then restart dovecot.
Upgrading to Warden 5.04 on an End-Of-Life OS
We understand that some users may be using an unsupported operating system with Warden installed that is end-of-life (CentOS 7.x/CloudLinux 7.x/RedHat Enterprise Linux 7.x/Debian 10.x/Ubuntu 20.04) and may still need to upgrade to fix this issue. This can be done using the following commands:
// download the latest verion of Warden
wget https://www.danami.com/clients/downloads/warden.zip
// delete the pre-install checks from the archive
zip -d warden.zip plib/scripts/pre-install.php
// install the extension
plesk bin extension --install warden.zip
// apply the fix
warden --task=antispam:learning:sieve --rebuild=yes --restart=yesJust be aware that these end-of-life OS are no longer officially supported by us as they are no longer getting ClamAV signature updates. See here for more information.
