Softlayer Dallax, TX

The SoftLayer Dallas datacenter is a Tier IV datacenter facility located inside the well known INFOMART telecom hotel near downtown Dallas. Specializing in datacenter and hosting facilities, INFOMART is home to multiple datacenters including MCI, Level 3, Equinix, Verio, Switch & Data, Verizon, DataSides, and more. The building sits atop three redundant electrical grids from TXU delivering diverse power to each quadrant of the building. HVAC needs are supplied via five one hundred ton onsite water chillers to deliver N+1 cooling requirements. Home to over twelve switch sites and thirty-five different carriers, INFOMART houses technology and telecom related businesses in a complex communications ecosystem.

SoftLayer Seattle is ideally located outside the Seattle Fault Zone and liquifaction area, and is designed and constructed to sustain a seismic event while maintaining business functions. The availability of more than ten internet service providers gives both flexibility and redundancy. 55 MW existing electrical capacity, 45 onsite generators with one half million gallons of on site fuel storage, and a carrier vault system supported by more than fifty miles of embedded, secure conduits, combine with SoftLayer’s industry-leading hosting services to provide customer’s with the ultimate in security and reliability.

SoftLayer Washington DC is located just 7 miles from Dulles airport in a facility certified to the highest standards in the industry. The DC area has one of the highest concentrations of fiber connectivity in the US and provides SoftLayer and its customers with multiple network options and world class performance. The facility was designed to full Tier IV standards and provides multiple redundant power connections, in addition to the three 2-megawatt generators and eight 750 kVA redundant UPS systems. As with all SoftLayer data centers, the facility has 24×7 onsite support and multiple security protocols to gain entry to the building.
